MY VIDEO
PROCESS
1.
To save time and make sure that the outcome is great, do you need to plan your content in order to produce content that meets industry standards.
3.
When you have a brief idea of what your video will be about, are you ready to take the next step and create a storyboard(A storyboard is an MVP of your movie).
● scene by scene.
● On each scene - what feeling do you want to spread?
● Write down notices of what it is about.
● paint roughly how the content will look like on each scene.
2.
When you are building an explanation video about your company/service, it’s important to have a ground structure to catch the viewers attention. A proven model who works:
● Intro
● Problem
● Solution
● Call to action.
4.
Now when you have your foundation of your video can you start to produce manuscript, if so
needed for the video. Remember that you need to apply storytelling for the manus according
to your storyboard/scenes hierarch. never underestimate the power of great copywriting.
It’s possible to create a video without background music, but the impact will unfortunately be less since the right music can increase the quality of your video within 3 to 5 times. You can find commercial free music if you google or YouTube and if you want to give your video some extra premium touch you can buy a license from $8:- and up.
Sound effects are a great tool to use to frame your message in your video even more. Google or YouTube free sound effects and you will find huge libraries with free sound effects.
Content & Production
Depending on your production will the content process be different, but what is common is that you need to produce it before you jump in to After Effects. If it is a 3D/2D movie(real film will be covered in another tutorial) do I recommend you to start producing your content and sub content in this step according to the visual feeling you have set up.
1.
Now it’s time for production and if you will make your video in After Effects do I
recommend you to create a seperate folder on your desk named after your project
where you save all your content in, since AEF are demanding on your local source.
3.
Place your music and voice over to sync before you start to create the actual
movie.
2.
Video production is hard and it takes a lot of time to produce, in order to simplify
the process are a recommendation to narrow down your projects in sub deadlines
and a final deadline to make you feel that you have control over your project.
4.
Now when you have a structure and sound can you start to create the content
according to your plan and sync it with the music.
